Not sure if this is useful to anyone else but thought I would throw it out there.The options for changing printing properties varies among different printer brands. Viola, within seconds I had my image color changed so it used my color cartridge only. You can adjust the brightness and shading as well as the individual colors of red, green and blue.
This works great when you have white media, as printing no ink simply leaves the white exposed, but as you can imagine, this doesn’t work for non-white media. White is represented as 0 cyan, 0 yellow, 0 magenta, and 0 black effectively, 0 ink for a printer that simply has those four cartridges.
I simply clicked that and a window popped up and it allows you to change the color of everything in the image. White - Cyan - Yellow Green White - Yellow - Magenta Red White - Cyan - Magenta Blue. There is a little paint drop looking icon on the top far right of the toolbar. For garments and plastics, use screen printing or flexography. Get rid of the white paper, if any, from your input tray and put the black sheets of paper instead. Remove the black ink cartridge as per the instructions provided for your printer and replace it with the white ink cartridge. Open the ink cartridge compartment of the printer. Epson sells a white ink cartridge for use with its printers, but the cost is higher than typical ink cartridges. Before you can start printing, it is essential to set your printer for printing in white ink. The best printers for black and white photography will have three or more monochrome ink pots in shades of black and grey (and often a matte and photo version for each). Best options: Mix silver ink with opaque white ink, use white foil stamping, or print dark colors with the type reversed on white paper. Photo quality printers will usually have between six and twelve individual ink pots.

So using the LibreOffice app for Mac I pasted the image and did the following so that it would change the color. Most budget-level printers print color with four colors: cyan, yellow, magenta, and black. Normally I would copy and paste and try to edit the image so that I could easily change the font color and boom it would automatically print in that color HOWEVER because this was a copied image, every time I clicked on it, it just allowed me to move the image etc but not change the preset black color. I have a Mac computer with an Epson printer and was trying to print a copied image using my color cartridges only since my black ink level was too low.
